3 things for great agent events
After traveling the country and supporting agent events, this is what I’ve learned about executing great events:
Location, location, location.
Where you host your event has a major impact on its success.
Two things about location.
Find a unique and budget friendly place to hold your event. This could be wedding venues that are usually empty during the week, theatre’s, bars, etc. Think outside the box because traditional event spaces for corporate events are much more expensive.
Find a location that is easy to access for a large agent population. If it takes longer than 20-30 minutes to get to a venue, your attendance will drop.
Have good audio and visual!
Good sound and video screens can be expensive, but they are important! Many times a venue will breeze over the fact that they have a microphone and a projector. Make sure you dig into the details and know they have what you need or bring in someone to run the audio/video side of things.
Always put the audience first.
There are lots of great people that can speak at your event. When you’re organizing the speakers you should always focus on putting together the most impactful content line up for the audience that is showing up. It’s easy to get carried away giving more people an opportunity to speak, but it can quickly dilute the value of your event.
Let me know if you’re thinking about doing an event! I’d love to hop on a call to talk about it and see if we can help.
