Threads is a distraction
Skip to the bottom line to get my quick thought about Threads.
Early adopters get massive reach. The second TikTok I ever uploaded got 3.2 million views because I was early.
With the release of Threads, many of our agents are looking to take advantage of being early, but being early only matters if the platform is going to be worth being on in the long run.
On our last call we dove into two questions:
1.) Is Threads worth my time.
2.) What are the best practices on Threads.
Ed Stulak was our guest and we dove into some really good ideas around how to build great connections on Threads.

My thoughts on Threads:
Overall, Threads may be ok for creating some connections and possibly business, but I don’t believe it’s the best place to focus.
If you’re someone that has a great Instagram or YouTube, there’s an opportunity to drive people to your page from Threads.
Members on our mastermind call agreed - none of our families or SOI is on it - just real estate people. And even my real estate friends that hopped on early are starting to fall off…
This tells me the platform will have a very small user base and won’t be a great place to grow and convert a large audience.
The bottom line:
Threads is a distraction. 98% of agents should stay focused on building their YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Email. Those platforms have much better lead gen opportunities.
